The Verge guide to working from home

Working from home is now normal. For some of us, it has become a permanent change.

Fortunately, in these days of video conferencing, texting, and file sharing, it has been possible for many of us to transition to offices and home offices and thrive in this way. It helps that remote work was already part of many people's lives before the outbreak of COVID-19. But that doesn't mean it was easy. This has been an adjustment for many of us here at I/O Means , too.

We now use the technical expertise of our staff and the experience of our writers and editors to pull together our best tips and tricks on working from home. For example, we give advice on finding the best monitor, choosing an enterprise-level file-sharing service, and buying a printer. (Yes, you might want a printer again!)

Video conferencing has become the best way to have face-to-face meetings, but what are the best conferencing apps? How do you keep your Zoom meetings private? And how can you look your best on camera? We'll tell you.

We're also looking at ways to make your home a better place to work and share some of the devices our employees are using to improve remote working.

We will add new articles on these topics every day to bring you as much information as possible about working from home. Stay tuned – and stay safe!
