How to use video to respond to your comments on TikTok

If you're a video creator on TikTok, your comments section could be really frustrating, especially if someone leaves a comment that completely misinterprets what you said (to say the least). You can text a reply or just create another video, but according to TikTok, now you have a third option:you can reply to your comments using video instead of text.

(Note:As this is something specifically for creators who want to video respond to comments, we haven't been able to test it yet. If/when we do, we'll let you know let's know.)

To add a video to a comment on one of your existing TikTok videos:

• Tap the comment you want to reply to.
• If you have the option to respond using video, you will see a video camera icon on the left side of the field. Tap this icon. You can also long press on the comment you want to reply to.
• Save your video as usual.
• If you wish, you can attach to this video the comment to which your video responds. This will allow anyone viewing your video separately to see what you are responding to.
• Publish the video as usual.
• Your video will be available both in the comments section (of the video you commented on) and on your own page.
